A combination of traditions, customs and art capable of making every environment majestically sought

The Spanish style is as fascinating as it is varied, being the result of a mix of cultures. It is therefore inevitably characterized by the different Mediterranean influences that contributed to giving it life, from the Italian to the French, from the North African to the Arab.
Especially the Andalusian style, one of the most captivating in the Iberian peninsula, was born from the combination of Roman, Visigothic and above all Arab presences, which followed one another over the ages. Between the end of the 11th century and the end of the 15th a type of Islamic art known as the Moorish style took hold in the area of the western Mediterranean.
The Syriac-Muslim artistic influences thus married those Berber-Muslim of African imprint in turn mixed with the classic ones (Roman and Visigothic). The whole of these cultures and forms of architectural-artistic expression are still today among the most amazing to admire.
The Andalusian or Moorish style is also perfect for decorating houses and places with a strong and decisive character. First of all it is essential to start by choosing and matching the right materials, necessary to make each room charming and comfortable.
A natural element like wood (predominant also in the case of Scandinavian design) is ideal for furniture and especially chairs, dark and elegant, which give the room a resolute and welcoming touch at the same time, in full Mediterranean concept. Sofas, armchairs and chairs must then be covered with the unfailing cushions, soft and colorful, perfect to recall the indispensable carpets in color.
The lines of the Andalusian style are almost austere, being essential and schematic. To soften this aspect stand out refined and colorful elements of ornament. The combination of simplicity of form and richness of details gives life to a winning and fascinating aesthetic combination, whether it is an ancient royal residence or a modern house or environment.

The geometric motifs generated by the intertwining of the multiple lines, and the chromatic elements, present above all thanks to the abundant (but not excessive) use of the typical and unmistakable luster ceramics, can enrich any room without weighing it down. The sober architectural decorations are indeed well designed to compensate and balance the final result.
To furnish an Andalusian-style room, it is good to choose white-to-lime colors embellished with colored ceramic inserts. Other elements of ornamentation on the walls are also the walls with exposed stone. To make a room unique for rest, you can then opt for a four-poster bed, elegant in its own and even more if covered with fine and finely worked sheets and curtains.

Between kitchen and bathroom you can indulge yourself with the use of ceramics, widely used for the same purpose even within the typical Spanish and of course Andalusian local. These rooms are also enhanced and embellished by numerous decorative paintings hanging on the walls, tapestries, shelves or niches obtained where to rest trinkets of unmistakable Iberian mold; also in this case you can take inspiration to furnish a home making it "Moorish".
The living area must be practical and give the idea of comfort and above all it must be an area designed for pleasant meetings to stay with family and friends. A large wooden table, not too bulky, is a good solution with multiple functions.
As far as the subject of light is concerned, large chandeliers capable of illuminating each room perfectly cannot be missing. You can choose from circular, octagonal ones with arches and small domes or even in transparent crystal. Excellent options are in addition antique lanterns, or of modern design, as long as they refer to a Mediterranean and Arabic look.
The presence of windows and windows from which to let in natural light, ideal to bring out the colors of the present details and especially those of ceramics, is obviously advisable where possible. Finally, plants and flowers play a further fundamental role as they are able to recreate the breathtaking atmospheres of the enchanting and majestic gardens characteristic of the Andalusian territory.
